Jakarta residents are encouraged to take advantage of a new nationwide Free Health Check-up (PKG) program, set to launch on February 10, 2025. The initiative, spearheaded by the Jakarta provincial government, aims to improve public health and well-being across the city. Ani Ruspitawati, head of the Jakarta Health Office, issued a public call on Friday, urging Jakartans to actively participate.

This initiative is particularly timely given the alarming statistics from the 2023 Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek). President Prabowo Subianto has emphasized the critical role of preventative health screenings in curbing these alarming figures.
Jakarta's Rollout Plan
In Jakarta, the initial phase of the PKG program will utilize 44 local health centers. The city government plans to expand access significantly, adding 292 more health centers to the network in subsequent phases. This expansion will follow guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach. The Jakarta provincial government has an ambitious target of registering 522,000 active users through the Satu Sehat Mobile (SSM) app or JakSehat to participate in the PKG.
Categorized Check-ups for All Ages
The PKG program is thoughtfully categorized to cater to various age groups and specific needs. The Birthday PKG will be available at local health centers and clinics for individuals aged 0–6 years and 18 years and above, commencing February 10, 2025. School-aged children (7–17 years old) will benefit from the School PKG, implemented annually at the start of each academic year, beginning July 2025. A dedicated Special PKG will focus on the health needs of pregnant women and newborns.
